16 year old, American, Gabby Douglas made history at the Olympics and I could not be more proud of her. Some people tried to dampen poor Gabby's accomplishments by attacking her hair calling it "nappy" and other names. The fact is she is gymnast! I'm not sure how you maintain your hair when you are flipping and jumping. But what do I know? Not only is Gabby a fierce competitor but she is also a beautiful young woman both inside and out. She is a lovely role model for both woman and little girls around the world.
